Recent goings-on at HB

Recent happenings around the library

Daily after school help includes the following:
Monday- Reading, Spanish (Grammar) & Math
Tuesday- Math, Spanish & Chess
Wednesday- Art & Educational Games
Thursday- English, Math & Spanish
Friday- Ethics, Creative Work & Reading
Saturday- Chess instructor from Tulum gives classes

And of course, every day, the library offers a safe place for children to play & learn!

We are pleased to announce (belatedly) the winner of our raffle, for this sculpture made by a local Merida-based artist, from the summer program supporters:
Nancy Boyle Alberico, a Spanish teacher from Connecticut who, along with students, has been a long-time, avid library supporter! Nancy and her Coginchaug Regional High School Spanish Honor Society students helped raise funds to sponsor 10 children for the library's summer program. Her name was drawn randomly from among the many who helped sponsor children for our 2012 summer enrichment program, but we are so glad she will get the opportunity to share this prize with her students!
