Summer school goal reached!!

Thanks to all our wonderful friends and supporters we have been able to raise enough funds to enroll 70 students in our summer program! The program will begin July 13th and run for 4 weeks. Highlights of this year's program include:

--We have two volunteer interns coming to help teach, Becky Glenn, who is an EFL teacher from Illinois, and her 20 year old daughter, Audra, will be here for the whole duration of the course.
--We are also pleased that Rey and Kiome Ortega are back for another summer to help us create and perform a children's circus finale, which will be held on August 7th at 5 p.m. in the CEA center (mark your calendar!)
--Our older students ages 8-13 will receive part of their science tutoring from CEA staff who will help teach them about the local environment and the importance of protecting it.
--Kids will also be receiving multilingual instruction, with English and Mayan classes.

We are looking forward to the best summer school ever!!!

Please note that during the summer session the library opens mornings only (9-1) Monday through Saturday, (July 13-Aug 7).
