Reduced library schedule to prevent potential spread of swine flu

Until further notice the library will only be open in the mornings from 9-11 (to receive donations) to help prevent any spread of germs related to the swine flu.
There have been NO reported cases of swine flu in Quintana Roo to date.
However the Mexican Secretary of Health has mandated that ALL schools in the country be closed until May 6th. We are following their example since it is the responsible thing to do, for the health of our staff, local children and visitors alike.

Until further notice we will not be providing any of our regular services, except for book loans. After school and Saturday morning programming is suspended, as are language classes.

Unfortunately this means that we will also not be holding our Dia del NiƱo activities on April 30th as planned, these will have to take place after we resume our normal schedule. We had also planned a clothing bazaar for May 2nd that will be rescheduled as well.

Please be safe everyone (no matter where you are) and remember to wash your hands thoroughly and often!!
