Farewell to Yilin!
A farewell lunch for our intern, Yilin. Going around the table right to left are seated: Debby Oakley (who. along with her husband, Bruce, sponsored Yilin's internship), Jesse (another new face at the library, Jesse is a secondary student who helps out at HB 3 afternoons a week), Renee (Jesse's mom), Maggie, Reyna, Yilin & Bruce Oakley.

Time flies when you're having fun! Before we knew it, it was time to say good-bye to Yilin, who did a one month internship at Hekab Be. During that time Yilin helped us put together a proposal for a new peer mentorship program that we hope to launch next Fall. She also helped with our regular after-school program, read at the schools, and even picked up some Spanish! Yilin brought a wonderful energy to the library, and we will miss her.

However, we were so inspired by the wonderful contribution Yilin made that we decided to offer the summer intern position, listed above.
The lovely library ladies: Maggie, Reyna & Yilin
